| The Gorge Super Sprints is the premier season-opener opener dragon boat regatta that takes place annually in May in Victoria, BC, Canada. |
The event is hosted by the Gorge Rowing & Paddling Centre. This event has enjoyed tremendous success and received rave reviews from participating crews and the media. Each year up to 40 dragon boat teams participate in a memorable day of racing and celebration.
The Gorge Super Sprints were created in 2005 to give dragon boat teams a high caliber race opportunity early in the season, to help prepare them for the summer and fall racing season. At 250 metres, the racing offer teams little room for error, and promise extremely close races.
