| Dynamic Opportunities for Youth is a national rowing program designed to share the benefits of sport with youth at risk in communities across Canada, promoting self-esteem and teaching lessons of teamwork, trust, personal challenge, discipline, and fair play in a positive and challenging alternative learning environment. |
Dynamic Opportunities for Youth began in 1998 as a small program at a rowing and paddling centre in Victoria B.C. In 2001, GO Rowing and Paddling Association of Canada had the unique opportunity and support to take the program national. The program is now offered from April to October nationally from rowing centres from coast to coast.
Dynamic Opportunities for Youth is produced by GO in partnership with Optimist clubs of Canada, Sport Canada, and Rowing Canada Aviron. |
